Ropes and What-Knot

Ropes and What-Knot is step-one for first timers at IBEX wanting to get vertical on our 32ft climbing wall beyond the auto-belays. Those with prior climbing experience may take a belay test to skip this class. Participants must be 13 years of age or older to take this class. All participants under 18 years of age must have waiver filled out by parent! These can be filled out digitally HERE or have them fill it out at our facility. 

Climbing is TONS of fun and also a PARTNER sport. One person must manage the ropes, while the other climbs. So bring a friend or family to have an awesome time!

Class Times:
  • Monday thru Friday: 11am, 4pm or 6pm
  • Saturday thru Sunday: 12pm, 2pm, 4pm or 6pm  
*Please arrive 10-15 minuites before class time

Class Structure
  •  Orientation to IBEX Climbing Gym 
  •  Learn how to use a climbing harness 
  •  Learn to tie-in
  •  Learn to belay*
  •  Receive IBEX's Belay Certification
*Belaying is the act of managing a rope as a climber ascends. Although this class is intended for beginners, belaying is a skill that all climbers use throughout their climbing-lives.
